How to relax your body and mind by doing Yoga Nidra
Yoganidra is a very old practice in India to relax the body and mind
In this mechanized life, body need some relaxation it wants some freshness
There are so many other methods are available Yoga Nidra is one of them
It is a powerful exercise to control the tiredness or to relax and to cover 2 to 3 hours sleep some time
People will do Shavasana and meditation. The main difference is, in Shavasana we will give our mind completely free but in Yoganidra we will direct and give instructions the mind to do particular work.
Before starting yoga nidra one have to follow some instruction it depends on our availability I have listed some general things
- The room we are doing Nidra should clean and without disturbances
- Better sleep on yoga mat or on any thin bed don’t sleep on thick bed
- Take one full glass water
- If u have any audio player start the audio which I have given below links and sound should be pleasant without struck
- Avoid doing Yoga Nidra after meals

Step by step instructions to do Yoga Nidra
- First, lay down on mat
- Breathe normally and concentrate on breathing
- Feel the air entering through nostrils to lungs and filling completely, the same feeling when exhaling the air
- Do it five to ten times
- Feel and enter divine inside of body forget about what is happening outside
- Then slowly tighten your legs, knee, thighs, lower back stomach, chest, hands, shoulders, neck, face, lips, eyes one by one. still, tighten with holding breath
- Then relax everything by leaving breathe by nose
- Do it once again
- Breath slowly observe respiration once again.
- Now start relaxing every part observes everything by inside only from leg to face feel everything every joints
- Now start the instruction audio of ur choice
- Listen carefully every instruction. imagine the things do not go in depth like ‘Man’ is going means don’t imagine fat or thin, white or black otherwise instructions will miss
- Simply imagine whatever they are telling
- After completion turn from left side and sit on mat don’t open eyes
- Rub Ur palms still its get heated touch eyes with heated hands slowly open eyes
