Recently when I met with one of my friend, he wanted to know best service provider for internet.  We discussed about existing internet providers like Airtel, Tata DoCoMo and Reliance etc. During our discussion I mentioned to my friend that I am using Huawei E 355 3G Data Card. I told him that I can change the internet providers based on the need and plans. He was surprised :). He is excited about to know more about this. Until this he did not even know there are data cards which can work with multi SIMs.

For the people who do not know about unlocked data cards, let me give introduction about this.

Introduction:

You might be seeing the data cards from different companies. Some internet providers will provide an option to change the SIM. In this type of devices you will have an option to change the SIM card of the same service provider but you will not have an option to change the Internet provider itself.

Internet providers like Airtel, Tata photon, Reliance etc will sell their own products which will limit user to be with them. Because of the poor signals and support users will not have an option to change the data card. If they plan then they have to buy a new provider data card

What problem we face with existing Internet service providers:

In case if you want to change the internet service provider you may need to change the card along with connection

Solution for this problem:

Here is the solution for this. There are companies which will provide the data cards, which are compatible with all the internet service providers. It means by default it is unlocked data card

Huawei E 355 3G Data Card:

 

Before I purchase my Huawei E 355 3G Data Card I googled for unlocked data cards, there were no much options except Huawei. I purchased this device for Rs. 3200/- from flipkart. I started using with my BSNL 3G SIM. It worked perfectly.

 

Advantages:

• You no need to enter username and password. It is a plug and play device. You can connect to internet with in less than 30 seconds
• This device has WIFI: You can connect up to 5 devices with this.

 

• WIFI signal will not be so great like wireless router but don’t expect the same quality as router. I was able to manage the connectivity with in my home
• You can check SMS and by logging into admin panel. Default password will be admin
• Micro SD slot available. You can insert up to 32 GB micro SD card. You can use this as pen drive

 Connectivity with Internet service provider with Huawei E 355:

I used three internet service providers with this device. All three worked well. I used Huawei E 355 3G Data Card (White) for around two years now. I don’t have issues with this.

3. Aircel
4. Vodaphone
5. Tata Docomo

About 2G signal:

It didn’t work properly when there is a 2G signal I am thinking it a problem with internet settings. It worked in 3G signals. I am in Bangalore so I don’t have problem in getting the 3G signal. So I never researched with 2G signal. Share your 2G signal experience.

Recently I moved to new house where I was there in first floor. Currently I am using Aircel data connection. I was not getting 3G connection and after searching for few minutes with in house I was able to get 3G connection at one corner of the roomJ. Now I brought an extension wire for this data card and I will keep the data card outside of the window. Now I do not have any issues with it. This is a particular problem with my case and it will be an Aircel tower problem because lots of high raise buildings are there beside my house

Do not use local/cheap extension cable. When I used local extension cable it used to disconnect. It is problem with extension cable.
